Reflexation®

The relaxation is the kind that people achieve after years of meditation. The body and mind are able to go deeply into a trance state in about an hour. Many people have deep emotional experiences releasing old issues with a minimum of discomfort. When this occurs the physical body is able to release tension stored for the duration of the emotional discomfort.
Physically the circulatory systems are improved (lymphatic and blood). When the muscles relax the nervous system is less compromised and able to function properly. These simple improvements allow the body to establish homeostasis. The blood flow from the lower extremities can easily move to the heart while inverted in the "gravity chair". The the upper torso benefits from the improved circulation in an inverted position.

You will learn basic reflexology techniques for working on the hands and the feet and an understanding of basic zone theory.
You must be interested in the dynamics of the body, mind, and emotional work that is to be done with the client.
You must be able to sit and work comfortably on the floor to properly administer the treatment. The reclining chair that the client sits in is central to the success of the treatment and the practitioner must sit on the floor during the treatment to be able to reach the feet, hands, upper back and head. The "gravity chair" used in the treatment is included in the cost of the course.
You will receive a handbook with all materials presented in the class.

Always self motivated Julie researched many books on reflexology and starting the process of training herself the various reflexology techniques she found described. Fortunately she was guided by a friend who was very experienced receiving reflexology treatments, and allowed Julie to "practice" her techniques. Encouraged by the positive feedback she begin to offer services to others at a local wholistic health spa. While working at the spa many people asked how she learned to reflexology so well and uncertain about her self discovery process she sought further training. Julie took more formal training with the International Center for Reflexology. She discovered in this workshop that she had already developed the same techniques that they were teaching and had developed other techniques as well. The course did prepare Julie with the skills to talk more informatively about reflexology.
Spurred on by this reinforcement and the very positive feedback from her clients she listened to her intuition and continued to develop skills and techniques to expand the depth of her work.
Julie went on to study Yoga, Breathing Techniques and Meditation. Also Tai Chi, Therapeutic Massage, Shiatsu, Polarity, Reiki, Guided Imagery, Bach Flower Remedies, and Regression techniques. She teaches classes in Reiki, The Human Energy System, Sacred Geometry and Self-Help Reflexology. Julie is an ordained minister and offers spiritual consultations.
The style of bodywork now called Reflexation® is based on the intuitive research of Julie E. Brent and the feedback of thousand of people receiving the treatments.
